Engineering Judgment and Professional Formation

Program 5 of the GAGE Robotics and Physical AI path, and the difference between a curriculum and an academy. This is the judgment layer, designed to run ALONGSIDE the technical programs rather than after them: engineering thinking and elegant minimalism, mechanical intelligence and the art of removing motors, failure analysis and learning from how robots break, design reviews and engineering communication, the economics of robots and the business case, human factors and human-robot interaction, research, benchmarking, and staying at the frontier, learning how to learn, frontier and future horizons, and responsible physical AI in practice. It is what turns a capable builder into someone who can scope the right problem, design elegantly, learn from failure, communicate, understand the economics, build for people, and keep growing. Ends in a GAGE design review where the learner presents a capstone robot and defends it across six dimensions of judgment. This is the judgment layer, not a simulation course; run it alongside Programs 1 to 4.
