Hybrid architecture

How each discipline defines it
The same term does different work depending on who is using it. These are the definitions as each program teaches them, unedited.
A multi-robot system design that combines a swarm handling one part of a task (typically the genuinely parallel, low-risk, or access-limited part) with a single robot, a smaller centrally coordinated fleet, or a human crew handling another part (typically the sequential, high-precision, or safety-critical part), rather than forcing the entire task into one pure architecture.
