Ego4D's license is a set of per university agreements, not a Creative Commons license, and some permit commercial development.

Human hours are a proxy, and the proxy is bigger than the real thing: the two Ego4D sets alone hold more hours than the largest open robot dataset. Whether they count toward the ten million is the open question on synthetic and proxy hours. Their licenses differ set by set, and one of them is a draft.
