America's AI Action Plan treats robotics as a manufacturing race and orders a supply chain convening, not a safety rule

The White House AI Action Plan of July 2025 puts robotics under next generation manufacturing. It names autonomous drones, self driving cars and robotics as innovations in the physical world, directs investment through existing research and procurement authorities, and tells the Commerce Department to convene industry on robotics and drone supply chains. It sets no safety requirement.

The federal posture is industrial, not regulatory: money and supply chain attention for American built robots, and no new duty on the maker. If you manufacture in the United States there are funding doors named in the plan. If you were waiting for a federal robot safety programme to emerge from it, this document does not contain one.
