NIST runs a Measurement Science for Robotics and Autonomous Systems Program whose deliverables are performance metrics, information models, datasets, test methods and protocols. It covers performance, collaboration, agility, autonomy, safety and ease of implementation. It is voluntary infrastructure for industry and standards bodies, and it binds nobody.
