A package of amendments to the EU AI Act that entered into force 27 July 2026. Its central effect for this topic: it deferred the high-risk obligation tier's application date, originally 2 August 2026, to 2 December 2027 for standalone Annex III systems (such as credit scoring and insurance underwriting) and to 2 August 2028 for AI embedded in already-regulated products under Annex I. It left the Article 5 prohibited-practices ban and the Article 50 transparency duties on their original schedule.
