AI Act enforcement in Romania

Romania has designated its AI Act market surveillance authority in national law. No AI enforcement action has been recorded there on this tracker. The Article 5 prohibitions bind in Romania regardless, and have since 2 February 2025.

The deadline in Article 70 for member states to designate their national competent authorities was 2 August 2025.
