Evidence tier
One of four levels of evidence strength: a marketing claim (Tier 1, unfalsifiable), a self-attestation (Tier 2, specific and attributable, but the vendor grading itself), a third-party audit or certification (Tier 3, independently verified), and the deployer's own exercised audit right (Tier 4, strongest, no intermediary).

How each discipline defines it
The same term does different work depending on who is using it. These are the definitions as each program teaches them, unedited.
