Finding

A single, specific item in a mock defense report identifying a gap, weakness, or unsupported claim in one section of the dossier. A well-formed finding names the section, the framework element or threat it touches, the kind of gap, and its severity, whether or not those four parts are explicitly labeled.

A report converted into a bare, falsifiable claim about a specific defect (this model denies this group at twice the rate on equal qualifications). A finding can be tested and defended, which is what makes it ready to place on the escalation ladder and put in a memo.

A specific, testable statement the analysis has established, narrow enough to be verified or refuted against evidence on its own. Distinct from a vague summary sentence that restates the analysis without adding checkable specificity.

an honestly named gap in a dossier entry, an unowned dataset, an unverified claim, a contradiction between components, tracked forward rather than smoothed over, and closed by a later module rather than hidden in the current one.

A specific, evidence-backed statement that something in the governance is missing, wrong, unsupported, or inconsistent. A finding is not an opinion; it points to (or points at the absence of) a record.
