An industry standard on embodied AI dataset quality, YD/T 6771-2026, takes effect on 1 November 2026, per a trade paper the ledger could not trace to the MIIT notice
A communications industry standard, YD/T 6771-2026, Artificial intelligence, key basic technology, embodied AI dataset quality requirements and evaluation methods, was reported as approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 24 July 2026 and effective from 1 November 2026, drafted by CAICT with more than forty organizations across eight quality dimensions. The ministry's own notice was not reached.

What it changes
For a robot maker collecting or buying hours
If the report is right, there will be a second Chinese quality reference for embodied AI datasets alongside GB/Z 218.1, this one from the telecoms standards line and with evaluation methods attached. A buyer should ask a Chinese supplier which of the two they test against, and should treat this row as reported until the ministry's approval notice is in hand.
