The National Ground Water Association reported on 16 June 2026 that EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, speaking at an energy summit on 10 June 2026, said the agency will not establish nationwide environmental requirements for the data center industry, leaving water use, cooling design and air quality to states and communities.
